Look what I made at school!!

I'm sure that if I was at home Mom would love to put this on her fridge. But since I'm not, it's just here.

The art teacher was teaching the kids about textures and such. So we made pictures by drawing with glue (I made a flower) then after they dried we used oil pastels to color them. I actually just watched when the kids were doing it, but later I had to try. I like the way that the border turned out, one of the kids saw the finished product and wanted to know how I did it, so I had to do another one with Sam's name (no texture).

Hope you enjoy!

The Twins are here!

After much stress and worry the twins came! Last night was jarring to get a call at 2 in the morning, but it was worth it. At that point all I knew was that Suzi was going in for emergency c-section and I'd find out more later. I got the next call at 6:30, the twins were out and everyone was resting.

Shoot, you can read it for yourself if you want to know on their blog. http://familyclines.blogspot.com (there are pictures too)

Congrats Jeff and Suzi!! Our prayers are always with you. Welcome to the new ones! Can't wait to know your names and meet you guys!

Division of the Pancakes!

Sam loves pancakes, I don't know why, but he does. I do not like pancakes very much, I think they are kinda icky. Anyway, I try to make them for him ... sometimes... I've joked that he can only have them once a month.

Well, we had them the other morning and I just had to laugh when I looked at the plates. This is the typical division of pancakes in our household. Thought you might get a kick out of it.

Band Saw Excitement

Hey All, here are the first projects we made with the band saw. Sam made an awesome magazine holder while I attempted to make a rocking horse. We didn't have patterns, but we still had fun. What do you think?

Happy Birthday Pops!!

Well, I'd like to start by saying that I am so very thankful that I have a dad that is easy to brag about, because seriously, you can do anything!

You made me a treasure box for Christmas this year, which I totally love, but what I love more, is the treasure of your love that came in the box. Whenever people come over they say what a nice bookshelf I have, and I gladly get up and point out the sun that is MY mark on the furniture that you make me. I absolutely love it!

I found this and I wanted to share it with you...

You Da Man!

Ever since my life began,
I realized that "You da man!"
I saw your wisdom, your courage too,
And I learned I could rely on you.

Your tolerant nature was really great;
Nevertheless, you'd not hesitate
To let me know when I'd been bad
It must have been hard, but that's being a dad.

You're strong and smart and filled with love--
A gift to me from up above.
So here's a greeting from your biggest fan:
Happy Birthday, Dad, cause "You da man!"

Sam Finally Got His Present!

Well, yesterday was a great day! Sam finally got to open and set up his Christmas present!

Here we go... into the shop to get to work.

This is the massive box the saw came in.

...what you see when you open the box...

It was like Christmas all over again with all he had to open!

What a happy guy, under that foam thing he could finally see the saw.

Whew! We got the stand up! Do you know they say it can take like 2 hours to put one f these things together?!

John came in to help at the end...

And Voila! We have a really tall, spiffy, sharp, and down right awesome, bandsaw! Sanding next to a very handsome man, and the dog is Shadow.

Welcome to 2009!

Well, I know this is really late in coming, but I finally got the pictures off of my camera. These were the first two sunrises of 2009, they were so beautiful I thought I would share them with ya'll. Hope you are having a great new year!!

Ableskeevers

Hello all! For New Year's Eve we went down to the ranch for an ableskeevers dinner, even though Sam was still feeling pretty sick. Ableskevers are a Danish pancake thingy that are actually quite yummy. It was a fun dinner followed by laughing a lot while watching AFV. I promise that show is a lot funnier when 12 people are watching it!

The puzzle

It's kind of a family tradition to do a puzzle around Thanksgiving/Christmas, so I found this puzzle that I wanted to do. It was fun, we did it in a few days. It had some hidden pieces inside that kinda threw us off a bit, because of them there are edge pieces on the inside, but edge pieces are hard to find anyway because the puzzle wasn't square.
