Some Christmas Adventures

Well, some of you have heard about our very exciting Christmas, but for those who have not I'll recap a bit for you. We both woke up early, really early, from excitement. We stayed in bed like good little people until around 6:20 or so. Then we got up and did our stockings...

And a good peek at our tree...

We decided to see how much snow we had around the car... it's still kinda dark out.

Another view of the car, this is from the downhill side, so the snow isn't as bad...

This is the fence that I had to climb over to see if we had any propane, nope, we didn't, but I did slip and fall on this lovely fence while I was straddling it...OUCH!

This is Sam trying to light the pilot light...

We finally got the cars out of the snow thanks to John and the tractor (movies to follow in the next post). This is the snow that was stuck to the tire, I thought it was kinda funny, again, this was a downhill shot, the snow on the other side was over the tires.

This is what I called the "top hat" of Sam's car. It stayed like that for a good couple of days.

Update

Well, the holidays have started officially, and I am far from home. On Sunday was the Ruby Valley All Faiths nativity and dinner. We all met outside in the snow and cold to watch a bunch of the kids from the valley act out the nativity. It was really cute, with real horses and a Joseph and Mary arriving on a “donkey” (aka a horse), then we all got to go into the “stable” and smell the hay and see the gathering of angels, wise men, shepherds, and everything. It was really cool, even though I was pretty frozen. Then we went to the church and had a potluck dinner and some people sang songs and everything. It was quite the production.

Today, Christmas Adam, was the official Neff Family Christmas Party. We all met for a potluck of soups and such. The kids acted out the nativity, Judy had us dancing and laughing at ourselves, Paul told a funny J. Golden Kimball story, and then “Santa Ben” passed out presents to everyone before we had the family gift exchange. I have to admit that Sam and I got a little flustered with the whole thing. We had in our possession 5 of the 12 presents over the course of the night, ours kept getting stolen. But I guess what’s what happens, right? Well, it was a good time, and the best part was that after the party Sam was able to come home and stay for the rest of the day. We opened up a Christmas Adam gift – M&M Kart Racing and played that for a bit, it was quite fun! Although, I’m still not so good at that 3D thing!

Well, that’s all for now, talk to ya later!

Is the new header a keeper?

Howdy ya'll. I tried my hand at making a header. Sam likes it, I'm not such a big fan. I'm looking for critiques, comments, suggestions, overall opinions, etc. Please leave a comment and let me know! Have a good night.

Glory BE!

Well holy moly I did something new tonight - thanks to the help of my marvelous husband! I, okay fine - it was a joint effort, WE made a personalized background for our blog. We started from a plain white thingy and added every piece of paper and everything. So tell me, what do you think? Hopefully tomorrow we'll do a heading and all of that fun stuff, but for now, a background is all we got.

Okay, this is about 5 minutes later. I realized the background doesn't look so great on a computer that doesn't have a screen super huge. SOOOO the thingy in the corner does say Sam & Mary Neff, incase you can't see that. I'll fix it better tomorrow.

Testing, Testing

This is just a test.
