Randomness

Here are a few more pictures of our lake... This was the standing water (close to 5 inches) in my flower bed.

Yes, in the middle of the lake it was about a foot deep (Sam was trying to find our drain pipe end which had frozen over, causing the lake).

This little boy has been so funny lately. The above shot Sam calls his "Long Snapping Practice" or something like that since the football is in the picture.

Yesterday he started making this awesome face when he thinks he's funny. I remember The Girl doing something similar when she was a baby.

This was the best $2 we've spent on a toy in a long time! Not because it has all the parts, it doesn't. Not because it really works, it makes a noise with a light. But because at least 5 times a week The Girl wants to vacuum. She has been informed that the only room she can vacuum is hers, so at least 5 times a week her entire room is cleaned spotless so she can "vacuum" her floor - all without my help!

Haircut

We finally decided that The Boy had to have a haircut. We figured if we both took turns cutting then we couldn't get mad at the other for "messing up". However, The Boy did great and we think it turned out pretty good.

Look at that cute boy!!!

Lakefront Property

Most of you probably
didn't know we live on lakefront property. We didn't realize it either until we woke up this morning.
Well you might call it a pond, but in Nevada we are generous with the term "lake." It's been raining for two days straight and with the frozen ground the water is running everywhere. If it were snowing instead of raining I'd guess we'd have more than a foot of snow now. But we're a balmy 39 degrees today. It feels a lot more like March or April than February. Sure glad we don't live somewhere cold, like Texas.

Because of the severe drought that we've been in for the last several years we joined other stakes in Northern Nevada, California and Utah in a fast for moisture last Sunday. One storm doesn't end the drought, but it's sure a good start and a pretty immediate answer to prayers. We'll take rain down in the valley and the snow in the mountains.
