Dance Recital

Today was a big day for us. It was The Girl's first dance recital. She was very excited, if you can't tell. Each girl got to pick a "Spring color", The Girl picked pink, of course.
Ready to go!

All finished, time for group hugs!

This is the first number, the ballet moves.

The Snowman Dance was a favorite of all the girls.

We had a Family Reel...even dance recitals become family events in RV!

Family Reunion Fun

Last Sunday, May 25, we got to go celebrate my Great Uncle Den's 80th birthday party, it was a lot like a family reunion. It really was so much fun. The day before we left John asked The Girl if she was excited to go to "her mom's great uncle's party". She replied, "Oh yes, he's a great uncle, a really great uncle." Can you get any cuter?!
This is my dad's cousin, Gary, he's the one who was a big part of most of my dad's childhood stories.
Uncle Den is sitting, behind him is Aunt Gail. The Girl in pink is Brittney and I'm not sure about the guy next to her. The the tall guy in the yellow shirt is my dad's brother, Uncle Bill. It was great seeing everyone!
Gray and myself, if I didn't want Dad to see this picture I totally wouldn't post it, it's not the most flattering of me!
Cassie and I with Grandma Clines. This is an amazing woman! I love her so much! (Both of them actually)

My favorite part of the reunion/party was introducing The Girl to everyone and having them all know exactly who she was named after. It's so nice to have such a rich family heritage!

Grass

In the process of the last 2 weeks our "backyard" has gone from a hot mess of weeds to a finely manicured seed bed.

Sam got a rototiller to help get things going...SO much better then what we did last year in the front yard.
We also planted some trees we got from Aunt Cassie and cousins!
This is the first section that we planted.
This is the first cutting of the year for the front yard, hopefully the backyard will look like this by the end of the summer.
 Middle sections being planted.
And finally the last section was planted on today! What an accomplishment! Now let's see how it grows in. Stay tuned for updates.

Mother's Day

So before Mother's Day I had the opportunity to go visit my sister for a few days. We had a great time at the park!

The dryer really is a pretty fun place to play...

It was a great day! Thank you to my great husband and children.

Dos de Mayo Missionary Madness

So I'm in the primary presidency and we had our quarterly activity last night. It was a bit of awesome and a bit of crazy, so that translates into a great activity, right? (Just go with me on this!)
Can't have a party without a pinata, right?
 Missionaries have to go shopping...

 Write letters home...

Ride the treacherous city streets on a bicycle tricycle...

Be dressed from head to toe as a missionary...

And get the reward of beating the candy out of a necktie...

Yeah, we do parties right here in the valley!

Branding Entertainment

The Girl met and made a new friend at our branding this year. This is a 5 year old and these two girls had the best time! They spent the day singing and looking outside for "Elsa". So glad we met our new friend!
This was The Girl ready to go to branding...this was Sam ready for another big day in bed. The poor guy got sick the Friday before and wasn't able to function again for 4-5 days. It's been over a week and he still isn't back to 100%.

The rest of the day went pretty well. At one point we had 5 calves on the ground waiting for more vaccine.

A neighbor with a nice horse let The Girl ride around a bit after we were done. The Girl was pretty excited about the whole thing!
