Ballet Recital

This year the ballet teacher added an older class of ballerinas. That increased the number from 4 to 8! The three shorter ones in this video are the only three left from last years class.

Always the cheezer...how can I get her to understand it's better just to smile?! A whole bunch of my own childhood pictures were ruined by my own cheese.

These are some of the little ballerinas. The one with blue is her best friend, Natalie.

A picture with Grandma Carol, aka the best dance teacher!

She really enjoys this dance called "Slippery Fish".
I was having camera difficulties, these next few are all from the "Swan Dance".

The CD player was having a hard time with skipping and repeating, which added to the hilarity of this clip, but maybe you had to be there.
And for the finale! After the recital there was a primary talent show...this was The Girl's. She almost did the exact same thing as her cousin, so I'm glad she changed to this instead!

Birthday

Opening presents in some Valentine Jammies - Looking lovely!
She got this "desk" for her school work.
One of her gifts was a mix for tie-dye sugar cookies...these are how they turned out.

The big cake decorating...Chewy Sweet Tarts are great for decorating dairy free deliciousness!
Mommy got to decorate a cake and The Girl got to decorate one. The Boy was relegated to handing us candies...until too many made it to his mouth, then he was fired.

Who doesn't love a strawberry lemonade cake?

We got a cool wagon from Grandma and Grandpa, great fun was had by all!
This is her birthday dress. We should have taken pictures before church, but we didn't. So these were taken with a pretty tired girl who just wanted to get changed and have a snack.

Happy 4th Birthday to the greatest little girl I know!

Easter

Easter was quite the event at the ranch this year. Due to a few time misunderstandings I wasn’t there, but that is okay! It looks like it was crowded enough! The kids had a good time. Squeezing all of this goodness in between conference sessions is quite the feat!

Who knew?

So did you know you can bruise an ear? I didn't either! But leave it up to my kiddo to figure out that it is totally possible.

Left alone...

So early in April I got the chance to attend a lovely Women's Conference in town. The following pictures were on the camera when I returned home. I'd like to say this is an isolated event, but it is not, it's just not usually documented so thoroughly.

She LOVES to "do hair" and he LOVES to have it done, so I guess it's a win/win situation.

Easter Egg Hunt

Here are the pictures from when the Easter Bunny came to the school here in the valley.

I was pleased to see that The Girl was very interested in making sure The Boy wasn't left alone. She took him right along, showed him the Easter Bunny was not something to be afraid of, and shared her eggs. See, when everyone is told only 10 eggs, and you have one of the youngest there, there aren't 10 eggs left by the time you get around. (But there are a lot of kids with very full baskets saying they didn't get enough. But that's okay, we can't eat most of the Easter candy anyway! We just like to go play at the park.) There are some wonderful people here that shared their eggs with us. The last picture is the whole group of kids.
