I DID IT!!!

Hey Everyone!! Guess what?! I learned something today!! I learned how to French braid my own hair without it being an inside out braid! YAY!!!! I've tried so long to do it and now I finally can, thanks to http://www.ehow.com/video_17115_french-braid-hair.html (it's not really a video, it's just words, but it finally made the click in my brain that I needed.)
So here are the pics!

Our Horses

Tonight I went down to visit the "kids" and I took this picture. They are shaggy, but they are cute. They both came to me when I called, until the other horses pushed them away. So I went into the field with them and then I almost got in a lot of trouble because the horses started fighting when I was there, alone, yikes! Anyway, Fancy is the one in the front, with 4 socks, and Tex is behind her.

February Foods

WE LOVE FOOD!!!
These are some of the foods that were delicious to us this month. I made lasagna for the first time, and it turned out really yummy. Sam and I also tried out hands and out own version of monkey bread and it was oh so very delicious!

What I gave Sam

I had all kinds of wonderful plans for Sam for Valentine's day, but because of the Sucker Saga, I only had time to do this. These are some pics of a book I made for him about some of the things I love about him. I also bought myself a BYU shirt and wore it. Happy Valentine's Day, Sweetie!

Sam's Valentine Present to Me

This is what Sam gave me for Valentine's Day. Isn't he wonderful?! For those who know me you probably won't be shocked to know that when I opened it I said I would have been just as happy with just the box! :) Happy Valentine's Day!

A good day

You know it's going to be a good Friday when you open your door and see this sunrise...and in the back of your head you know that in 8 short hours you'll be in the car on the way to visit your sister and her family!

Happy Birthday, Ian! And happy Friday the 13th to everyone!

Sucker shapes

Here they are the shapes of suckers. There is (in no particular order) a cowboy boot, tulip, square, triangle, heart, lips, cowboy hat, and a hexagon (which was actually just a really big nut from the shop that Sam brought home for me to use. The square was the end of a huge bolt)

The Sucker Saga

Well, after talking about the suckers I was "going" to make, I finally have some proof. My hands are covered in cuts protected by super glue. The molds were a PAIN to make and there is no way I could have done it without Sam! These are some pictures from the process, in the next post I'll put up individual pictures of the different shapes.

Molds waiting for the candy...

Molds with both the cherry and lemon flavors

Half cherry, half lemon (that's what you can do when you have enough molds!)

Broken out of the molds

Stacks of suckers by shape

Valentines ready for school tomorrow!

Yummy dinner!

Hello, tonight we made a really yummy dinner, the pictures look a little icky, but it really was good. We started by making Phyllo nests, cooking up some chicken and beef, and making a sauce with cream of mushroom soup, broccoli, fresh mushrooms, and cauliflower. It was very filling too!

Yummy!

Oh Yeah! We also made some dessert phyllo things with super dark chocolate and fresh pear. They were yummy!
