Changed mind

Well, we went private for a while, but I decided that if you go private, not many people look at your blog and comment...duh! Not that many people look anyway, but for those of you who do, thank you for your comments. So, I'm back to public for now, hopefully I'll post more often. Happy reading.

A new discovery...

Well, being a first time mom allows me the opportunity to learn things all the time. Like how to get your child to stop crying and actually fall asleep. Now, most of you know this isn't usually a problem with The Baby, but today it has been. So this evening as I was trying to put off her night time feeding just long enough to fold some laundry, I decided to talk to her about what I was doing...

Personally, I'm not a fan of folding laundry, that could be why 2 baskets of it sat on the bed all day waiting to be folded. However, there is something not so horrible about folding laundry while explaining it, probably thinking I'm enhancing her brain connections or something. Anyway, I explained what jeans were and what colors items were, I must have really gotten into it because as I held up a shirt to explain where it was black and where it was red I noticed that The Baby was konked out sleeping. I knew the white load was boring...but come on!

So next time you find yourself needing a nice way to get your child to sleep, talk to them about laundry.
